Best fish fry I have ever been to! Great fish and hush puppies. I highly recommend for people to visit if you have never been before.

See picture. That is a fish box for two. More like a fish box for an adult and a child. And it was $16+. Ain't gonna cut it, bruh.
The food was good. THAT'S. IT. Good. Not great. Not wonderful. Not bad. But good. Certainly not worth the price.
The fries were average at best.
They charge extra for little containers of tartar.
Honestly. Imagine going to a locally owned Captain D's but more expensive. That's Hill Street Fish Fry. Keep driving. -

Saw this place on the drive home and decided to try it. The lady at the counter was welcoming and encouraged me to take my time, as I'd never been there before.
I ordered a crab cake, the corn hush puppies, and the fried shrimp.Everything came to $15 and some change. It took about 10 minutes to cook. The inside was cool (humidity was CRAZY outside) and the tv was on Judge Judy.
The food was pretty good. The crab cake looked like a frozen chicken patty but it tasted good. Hint: all the crab is hiding in the inside. The corn hush puppy was a little strange (I'd not heard of it before) but it was good. Fried on the outside and whole corn kernels with some kind of sweet filling (think pie) inside. The shrimp was good and looked wonderful.
I would make an extra effort to return but I'd certainly eat there again if I was in the neighborhood. -

The clams and crabcakes was delicious! The fires were fresh and hot,the fish was not good at all. The first piece was ok,the other two pieces seem like they were saturated in grease! This was my favorite auntie's favorite fish place. R.I.H Rosa This is definitely a hometown favorite that out of towners and locals will enjoy! The fried mushrooms a re made from heaven, they melt in your mouth. The coleslaw was bland, but pepper fixed that issue! I give five stars because everything is cooked fresh! It's worth the wait.

If you haven't been to Hill Street you must go! It may be off the beaten path for some, but worth the trip for a good fish fry for a great price. The service is quick and friendly. The seating is limited inside, but if you go on a nice day, you can sit outside. While you wait for your order, check out the various pictures on the wall that tell a little bit about the family who owns the place. Order a fish sandwich and fries, pan fried oysters and a sweet tea and you will be one full and happy person!.
